Introducing Oleksandra Posukhovska
- Can you tell us a little about yourself? Can you share a unique or interesting aspect about yourself that people may not know?
I’m Ukrainian, and when the war began, my life was completely changed. Nowadays, I really appreciate every moment. People always tell me that I can notice things that other people don’t notice. It’s very important to have a positive view. My rule is: to always say “yes.” This is how you grow exponentially.
- Apart from modeling, what other passions or hobbies drive you?
I really like languages. Learning a new language is also learning a new culture, and it’s amazing. I love my dog, I do sports, and I collect lovely spots for yoga classes. I believe that walking can replace a visit to a psychologist. I really like trying new things, for example, golf this week and horse-riding classes next week. But the real engine of progress is traveling. It enriches me inside and awakens a lust for life. How about a morning croissant with coffee in Paris? Or walking on the Amalfi coast? Sounds good, right?
- If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world for a photoshoot, where would you choose and why?
I think Madeira is a nice choice because there are countless beautiful spots.
- How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any fashion icons or inspirations?
Classic is everything for me. I’m very inspired by old money’s style. It’s something so special and timeless. I also like clothes that emphasize femininity. I really enjoy following the style of royal families because you can read a certain story in the details of their looks. Also, I go crazy when I see photos of Monica Bellucci for Dolce & Gabbana. Have you ever watched the movie “Malena”? She is unforgettable there!
- Are there any specific fashion trends or styles that you enjoy experimenting with or incorporating into your own look?
I really like corsets. They’re very feminine. You can create an old-school look with sexy laced-up lingerie. Asymmetric hems. That’s it! I can use this technique both with sportswear and with evening looks. And this is a win-win option.
- What is your greatest weakness and how have you tried to overcome it?
I tend to be an “all-or-nothing” person. Have you heard of the syndrome of the “perfect girl”? It’s important to find balance in everything. I’m currently reading a lot of information about it.
- What are your strengths?
My positive outlook (I always see the good in the bad). I’m flexible and multitask.
- What are you passionate about?
Self-development is my foundation now.
- What aspect of the modeling industry are you most passionate about?
This industry allows the highlighting of social aspects like feminism and body positivity.
- Could you share your career goals and aspirations for the next five years, both within and beyond the modeling industry?
I like to benefit people. When I worked as an HR manager, I helped people find jobs, and when I saw how a person can grow in their career, it inspired me immensely. And my dream is to be an influencer. We live in a progressive world, and maybe I will express myself through a blog, maybe through modeling, or maybe I will open a chain of healthy food restaurants and bring a healthy lifestyle to the masses.
- What inspired you to pursue a career in modeling? Was there a specific moment or experience that influenced your decision?
I believe that modeling allows you to develop self-confidence and also opens up new opportunities to join interesting projects on the international stage. It’s an art form.
- Who is your favorite model, and why? How has their work influenced your own modeling journey?
The first person I mentioned is the web influencer and digital content creator Valentina Marzullo. She has a very special lifestyle and is a guest at the best fashion shows. Looking at the world through different lenses, Marzullo merges travel and fashion into a tangible portfolio.
- Do you have a favorite fashion designer or brand that resonates with your personal style or aesthetic? What draws you to their designs and philosophy?
Ralph Lauren, Sandro, Dior, Miu Miu, Celine, and YSL resonate with my aesthetic because their philosophy combines classics and trends, practical design, and a timeless vibe.
