Introducing Myrthe Bauer
- Can you tell us a little about yourself? Can you share a unique or
interesting aspect about yourself that people may not know?
I love dancing and singing. I love to watch musicals as well. My days are always
full. Even when I don’t plan something there will be enough to do. I love my days
like that. I like to do and learn new things. And to look at things differently than
usual. For me, there is a reason for everything. An aspect of me people may not
know is that I love to walk barefoot in nature. And to follow the moon cycles.
- Apart from modeling, what other passions or hobbies drive you?
What I already said dancing and singing. Also sailing/ being in the water
is for me the best feeling in the world. Coaching/ inspiring people with a
different view. Developing myself with meditation and breathwork. I am
babysitting a lot as well. And I love to travel and do things out of the box.
My motto is: you can do anything, life is as easy as you make it in your
- If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world for a
photoshoot, where would you choose and why?
I would say Iceland. Because the nature there is insane, I think I would
feel high on life there. And that can only energize the photos.
- How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any fashion
icons or inspirations?
I would say go with the flow. Sometimes I love to dress up, for example in
Amsterdam. And sometimes I am wearing long dresses with no makeup.
But every day I think about what I would wear. I can’t say that I don’t care.
I don’t care what other people would think, but I care about how I feel in
the clothes. I would say that I get inspired by the energy I am in. And what
people wear around me. Sometimes social media as well. But not a lot.
- Are there any specific fashion trends or styles that you enjoy
experimenting with or incorporating into your own look?
I love the Ibiza vibe. With colors, and crocheted tops. I also like leather,
doesn’t matter in pants, jackets or boots.
- What is your greatest weakness and how have you tried to overcome it?
I would say being impatient. I am becoming more aware when I feel it.
And then I try to choose whether I want to stick with this impatience or
not. Because the feeling is only annoying myself. And it’s getting already a
- What are your strengths?
Always want to do new things. I am never bored and always want to
grow. I accept myself for who I am. And I am a positive thinker.
- What are you passionate about?
Going fast haha (carting, cars, roller coasters, etc.) How to care the best
for myself. And surround myself with good people. And of course the
- What aspect of the modeling industry are you most passionate about?
I would love to let people feel something when they see a picture. And
maybe inspire them. I am not right away thinking about clothes if I am
honest. I am not sure yet for what.
- Could you share your career goals and aspirations for the next five years,
both within and beyond the modeling industry?
The modeling came kinda out of nowhere for me. But when I was
younger I always wanted to do it. But every time they asked me, I was too
short. So I have let it go. Now I still can try and I love that.
I want to do a lot of different things in the next five years. I hope I can do
some shots on and off for fun. And maybe walk. Because I think I would
love that even more, because of my love of theater. And I feel I can let my
energy flow even more.
Beyond modeling, I hope I am working as a coach. A coach for breathing,
hormones, and lifestyle. I want to do this for myself. So I have made
my own website and stuff like that. I also have started with writing a
book, I hope it’s finished in five years.
And I love acting and stuff so I hope that I maybe can mix some
modeling with acting stuff. Or voice acting as well. And last but not least, I
want to sail around the world with somebody. Explore what the world can
bring me. And all the self-development I get out of it.
- What inspired you to pursue a career in modeling? Was there a specific
moment or experience that influenced your decision?
I would say being creative. I told a lot about my love for musicals etc. And
with modeling you can also bring the creative side of you to the surface.
And you will learn a lot in the modeling world. Style things, but I mean
more these things you will learn through others about yourself. I think
you can feel your boundaries and feel if you want to change your
boundaries or stick with them. You will be confronted with yourself all the time.
And I think that it can be beautiful to get to know yourself more and to
- Who is your favorite model and why? How has their work influenced your
own modeling journey?
I would definitely say Doutzen Kroes. She stuck to herself and to her own
thoughts and habits all of her career. And I love to see that. She is her
- Do you have a favorite fashion designer or brand that resonates with your
personal style or aesthetic? What draws you to their designs and
Not specifically. I love to go vintage shopping. And find old leather jackets,
old Burberries, and old Levi’s. I love to go to boutiques because there I can
find things not everybody has. I love to wear things out of the box. And to
make my own vibe with everything. But I think I have the most with
shoes. Isabel Marant shoes I love.
