FrogDiva Photography has found a new home in Portugal. The road was long and complicated to reach the crossroad, but this is where a new horizon is set, pushing new boundaries.
Writer by passion
Photographer by soul
Political Scientist by training,
Development Worker by fate,
Translator by circumstance,
Literary activist by choice.
Born in the Philippines, I spent my childhood in Kenya and Mexico, lived most of my adult life in Germany, India, and Thailand before taking a leap of faith and moving to Portugal. I am a citizen of the world, capturing moments in with pen and lens.
Photography is part and parcel of who I am, as human to me as it is spiritual. This therefore defines my personal preference to shoot with natural light most of the time, thus avoiding the confines of a studio as much as possible. I believe in challenging the light, chasing the shadows, and embracing the experience. The pandemic years of 2020 and 2021 presented new avenues to explore, particularly in portrait and food photography which I did with great gusto.
Living in Portugal means a return to my beloved seascapes and cloud dialogues, something that was sorely missing since my Southeast Asian years, but also a new adventure into the poetic countryside of Mafra and Malveira.
