Introducing Lauren Ewer

• Can you tell us a little about yourself? Can you share a unique or interesting aspect about yourself that people may not know?

I’m not sure if this is unique, but I am really interested in psychology. I think it’s the best way to understand most industries and I’m looking forward to applying it to the modelling industry!

• Apart from modeling, what other passions or hobbies drive you?

Aside from modeling, I am a keen horse rider and it’s a sport I have been doing now for over 15 years.

• If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world for a photoshoot, where would you choose and why?

I would have to choose New York, just because it is the fashion capital in my eyes because it’s the birthplace of the incredible Tommy Hilfiger.

• How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any fashion icons or inspirations?

I would describe my personal style as sporty with a twist. I really enjoy timeless pieces but like to ensure my clothes are functional as I am quite a busy person running around all day.

• Are there any specific fashion trends or styles that you enjoy experimenting with or incorporating into your own look?

At the minute I love anything metallic and experimenting with different colors instead of the usual silver metallic trousers. Oh and kitten heels- kitten heels with everything!

• What is your greatest weakness and how have you tried to overcome it?

I would say my greatest weakness is self-doubt. To overcome this I don’t allow myself to think before diving headfirst into every opportunity I am given.

• What are your strengths?

My strengths are my work ethic and the importance I place on making sure every person I come into contact with feels comfortable and safe. You should always try to be the kindest person in the room.

• What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about fashion- trying new trends, learning about camera angles, and making art that makes people think.

• What aspect of the modeling industry are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about the editorial and fashion side of modeling. But as an aspiring model, I am keen to try new experiences always.

• Could you share your career goals and aspirations for the next five years, both within and beyond the modeling industry?

I want to work my hardest to be on magazine covers and hopefully walk the runway. It would be a dream to work with an equestrian brand due to my strong passion for horses.

• What inspired you to pursue a career in modeling? Was there a specific moment or experience that influenced your decision?

I have always been a creative person and I’ve been in front and behind the camera in a theatrical sense. My time in theatre and acting has made me curious about other creative industries and I am excited to see what the modelling industry has to offer and what I can offer it.

• Who is your favorite model and why? How has their work influenced your own modeling journey?

My favorite models are Sofie and Idunn Vollan because they have such a cool and effortless style that is maintained on and off-camera. They also seem like very grounded and kind people which is very important for any industry.

• Do you have a favorite fashion designer or brand that resonates with your personal style or aesthetic? What draws you to their designs and philosophy?

In terms of equestrian fashion, I love Imperial Riding because they experiment with color and material whilst keeping the clothes practical for the sport. As an athlete, it would also be a dream to work with Nike as their clothes just always have the perfect fit and I want to wear their clothes even when I’m not training!
